Grande Ronde Academy opened in September 2001 as a board-operated, independent, interdenominational school in the Grande Ronde Valley. The school was formed by a group of parent representatives following the dissolution of La Grande Christian School in May of the same year.  The new school began with three teachers and twenty students in the basement of  Zion Lutheran Church.  After two additional moves, Grande Ronde Academy relocated to the current location in 2009. The school now has more than 50 students and has been blessed with renewed growth over the past few years.  This growth allows us to continue our mission to provide Christ-centered education that encourages students to achieve their fullest potential academically, physically, spiritually, emotionally and socially.
